Welcome to the newly updated website of The Casino Association of South Africa (CASA). This growing online database now includes CASA’s third national survey of the South African casino entertainment industry. As such I hope this site will continue to be an invaluable resource for those who wish to know more about the reality of the South African gaming industry’s economic and social contributions.

I’m confident that the survey will show that these contributions are worthy of attention. In just seven years, for instance, this new industry has been responsible for more than R15-billion in new investment, created almost 100 000 jobs. In 2005/6 alone it contributed more than R2.7-billion in taxes to government revenue.
